Knowing that she was the answer before the question was stated, FloraJane said, “Where is the most unique place you’ve taken photos.” On the opening day of Elitch Gardens, I was reminded of why I love photography. Experiences with couples as genuine as James and FloraJane make this the best job in the world.  Thank you both for being so fully who you are. I think we told your story quite well Their wedding will take place in Denver’s Washington Park in late September.

i love this little boy so much. it’s been such a joy to see the way he has changed and developed. his personality is vibrant and he is very reactive. micah will be moving to kansas in the next month. to say that you all will be missed doesn’t quite justify it. this is probably the fourth photo shoot i have done with micah through the first year of his life. i’m sure there will be more to come.

I love the Roggow family so much. There will be more with Abi along with her brother Micah and Evan coming in the next few months. I think these are the most precious baby photos I have ever taken. Abi, you are full of such joy.

Chase and Sarah were wed on a windy day in Hastings Nebraska. I almost had to leave the wedding when i found out that Chase was from Broken Bow, which is a rival of my high school. We ended up making peace for the day and all went well. The Crawford’s reception was held in Sarah’s parents home, which provided a personal and intimate setting for all the special people in their lives. Nicole and I really enjoyed being a part of your day and are so thankful for the kindness and hospitality of you and your family. We love the photos too… and this is just the preview!

alex, leah and i met at UNL’s east campus sunday during their engagement shoot taken in lincoln, nebraska. the couple are fellow concordia grads. i will be traveling from denver for their wedding in july which is taking place in eastern nebraska. only to turn around and photograph a wedding north of denver the next day. it will be a crazy weekend to say the least, but whitney and i are really excited to be a part of your day. you both are great and do quite well in front of the camera

chelsa and i grew up together in the booming metropolis of ord, nebraska. chelsa is best known for her angelic voice. i keep asking her if she would like me to sing at her wedding. i’m guessing they have been to busy to respond.
you both blew me away at photography engagement session taken in omaha yesterday. as i was trying to figure out how you got to be so photogenic i immediately thought back to that drama camp we went to in elementary school, that has to be the start of it all. this storybook experiment opened up much of my photographic intuition. i didn’t even think about what was going on…it was there already. i could barely keep my eyes open last night as i was “playing” with these images. i was unable to wait until morning before i began painting the emotion in your engagement photos.
you both are so beautiful and i am quite thankful to be a part of your wedding day and this wonderful experience. my portfolio is thankful too (this is just the preview)

mr and mrs ennis

A perfect March afternoon at Arrowhead Golf Course watched Jennifer and Levi as they exchanged vows last Wednesday. It was one of those weddings where I thought to myself . . . “no, this doesn’t get old”. Watching people choose to Love, the way we were made to, captivates me every time.
